NuvaRing and Breastfeeding

I had my post partum check up yesterday, and my Dr. put me on the nuvaring for birthcontrol. After I had my first child, I tried to get on the nuvaring and I couldn't because I was breastfeeding and they told me that it would cut my milk supply. Well, I'm breastfeeding again, and my Dr. said that it is ok to use the nuvaring when breastfeeding! He told me that every birth control runs the risk of drying up your milk. Well when I got home and I was reading the info about it, the instructions said not to use it if your breastfeeding because it could cause jaundice. So I'm confused!!! Has anyone used the nuvaring while breastfeeding?

My doctor told me it wasn't a good idea. She said the mini pill, IUD, or shot were my only choices.

I have read not to use it while BFing, It can lead to a decrease in supply.
