Quoting 5 weeks!!:“ NO no Roto. Thats the oral one right? No. Just the Chicken pox, MMR, and Pnemococoal. (haha sp?) lol. ... [snip!] ... postponing them and they were really rude and I didn't know what to say so I just went and did it. I felt backed into a corner.”
Sorry that happened. No one should be pressured into medical care...namely preventative medical care, because the benefits are theoretical and based on many theoretical factors.
According to this Canadian site: (I believe MMR II is the same as our MMR)
What side effects are possible with MMR II?
The following side effects have been reported by at least 1% of people receiving this vaccine. Many of these side effects can be managed, and some may go away on their own over time.
Contact your doctor if you or your child experiences these side effects and they are severe or bothersome. Your pharmacist may be able to advise you on managing side effects. - burning or stinging at place of the injection, diarrhea, fever, irritability, joint aches, pains, or swelling runny nose
Keep in mind that the CDC does not list diarrhea as a possible side effect of the MMR. So there seems to be a difference of medical opinion on whether or not it can have this effect.
Also, there have been thousands upon thousands of parents who report diarrhea (among otherside effects)after MMR. This is only anecdotal but deserves serious consideration, especially since there seems to be no one willing to study these families closely to determine if their children's symptoms were in fact caused by the shot.
