]MIL rant Ugh!~

Im so sick and tired of my MIL and her negative fuckin attitude about everything! I told her that we we're naming our son Braylen and her exact words were...`You better not name my grandson no Braylen. He's gonna get teased! And thats exactly why i didnt want to telk the name. She has this pissy attitude about the names i pick ou t because i dont want to name him josiah or emmanuel. So she has something mean to say about all the names i come up with

I told my own mother our baby name suggestions and her response was 'What, Why would you call your kid that? You are kidding right?'
You just can't pick your relatives!

Why would he be teased!! It's a nice name. And by the way she should have no say in YOUR son...not HERS!!! I get along with my mother in law, but that's because she lives far away and we only see her once every 2 yrs.

my bfs mom told me not to name my son (pregnant witnow)after his dad and i was like well me and jesse we'll choose what we want to name our son as we did our daughter.....then she said well name him jesse but dont call him that ....then when i was preg wit my daughter (Alexis christine) she bitched cuz i wanted to name her Christine and she said wasnt letting any1 call her grandkid chrissy that names for dumb blondes im like omg ur evil

Your kid, your choice in names. We wanted to name our first daughter Alhanna, but my mom nixed it. Her name is Peyton (and she's in first grade now, so no changing our minds). We ran names by everyone and their uncle. Most had something to say about any name we chose, often negative. So, since then, we never reveal the name until the birth certificate is signed. (I always go in with two applications--one with the "boy name" and onewith the "girl name" and just fill in the relevant info--time and date of birth and attendant at the time).

I just go with "we have a few ideas, and are trying to narrow it down. We'll decide for sure when we meet the baby." Who has to know you made up your mind? Besides, you could have the baby and decide that he really seems to be a "Geoffrey" rather than a "Jonathan".

I chose Sophie Ann when I found out it was a girl. Come to find out it was my boyfriends late grandmothers name from his dads side. (btw she passed away afew years before my boyfriend was born)... He didnt tell me until after we decided the name was going to be Sophie. I was super excited we picked a name that his father would be happy with. My boyfriend and I love the name, Anyway, Monster in law wants elizabeth and i said thanks, but no, so I told her it was going to be Sophie Ann and she says well I'm glad you are naming my granddaughter after my stupid ex's side of the family. And I said sarcasticlly .. Your Welcome... I'm glad you approve. But the second part.. Ann her middle name is from my family and has been passed on for generations.. like my name is sabrina ann... my mother mary ann... my grandmother Mary joAnn, great gma, MaryAnn.. blah blah blah and so on.. She didnt like the fact that I was doing this. She was upset... She is an evil bitch and needless to say I am very happy that she hates the name I have picked out!
