Badgercare-dentists.

I cracked the back of my tooth in my sleep, because I grind my teeth really bad, and I need it fixed or my whole tooth is going to chip off, it's really bad! My tooth is about to crack off!!
I have badgercare, but my primary insurance is still my parents, because they wouldn't let me change that.

NO dentists seems to accept badgercare, and if I use my parents I have to pay the full price up front and they reimburse me.

my question is does anyone know where I can go to find a list of dentists in my area that will accept badgercare?

i just moved to WI and because we had to switch jobs, i didnt have insurance and i have badgercare now...i was wondering that

and how about eye doctors?

Good luck! haha. I tried calling eye doctors yesterday...about 2 hours later, I gave up! lol. This is ridiculous!

i got temp. care cuz i didnt have my birth certif. my mom sent mine from maine i will get it tomorrow so i go in to get coverage longer (not just 60 days) or whatever they gave me first, should i ask for a list of doc and dentists?

Yeah, I'd call and ask them.

They sent me of list of something, that was like....counties that accept HMO's, and all it says it "Dodge county-only part of the county"..and stuff. Not actualy offices. I tried looking it up on their site, and they have nothing!

they should have sent you a list of doctors and dentists with your benefits...atleast thats what they did with me according to whatever HMO you're in.

Well, I just sent out my HMO choice yesterday, so for right now, I just have straight Section 19. No HMO. Ughh.

If I used my parents insurance, and paid them the full price up front, it's $395 JUST for theFreakin' x-ray!
I'm about to cry, I don't want to have a chipped tooth..the front one!! That would look soooo horrible!

once you get it they should send you a packet with a list along with all your benefits.

Dentist bills are insane. I have a fake tooth one of my front side ones, got it knocked out in cheerleading...its a dangerous sport!! But its getting discolored I need to go in but def dont have the money to afford that right now so I just deal with it for now.

That's what I think they're going to do for me, is cap it with a fake, or something.
My fiance said I can call his mom and ask her to borrow it to me, until they reimburse me, but I can't ask her for almost $400 just for an xray, I can't imagine how much the work is going to cost!

Do you know of any website or something that would have a list? I don't want to wait until they send me that, because I can't even eat because i'm afraid of it breaking.

The Emergency room wouldn't be able to take care of it would they?

no dont go to the smurfing er....I went when I broke mine off and the smurfers made me wait forever to tell me they couldnt do anything. I had nerves exposed so it hurt so smurfing bad.


did you try calling the number for your hmo?? All my insurance papers are at my parents so I dont have any websites or anything with me here. Or even if you dont have the number for your HMO, try calling your county and see if they have a number that you can call.

I don't have hmo. Just Section 19. Or Title 19, whatever that is.
It's straight up badgercare.
All they sent me was a list with counties that covered it which isn't true because I called like ALL the dentists in those counties, and they all said no.

I found 3 dentists, out of...i had to have called over 60...no joke, and 3 said they took badgercare but were full for months!

they sent me an acutal list of the dentist offices which are covered.....so idk why they would just send you a list of counties that sounds kind of silly on their part. Idk Id just call your worker and talk with them.

Yeah, I sent in my hmo choice yesterday, and they LOOOVE taking their time.

what hmo did you choose? lol, because I chose at random, because I had no idea what I was doing?

I just chose United Health Care.

They actually just picked for me, the one my doc was in so I didnt even have to worry about doing it. It starts with an A....I cant remember lol like I said all my stuff is at my parents.

I switched counties like two months ago...ugh the one I had I could call her like smurfing 10times with no return call. I got so smurfing sick of it and bitched out her manager.

Anthem, maybe? lol. That's what my mom had for me when I was liiiiittle.
I chose one because I heard it before, lol....I called a pediatrician, to try and get one for Mercedes before she's born, and they said they only accepted United BadgerCare, so I went by that, lol.
