WIC question

when u get on WIC for ur baby what formula are you aloud to get?? if the baby needs a special kind recommended by the doctor, do they alow u to get that kind?? thx

If you get a doctors note yes they will give you that kind of formula. No questions asked.

If you dont they will probaly give you like good start. I have no idea what kind they normally give out since i have to have a speical kind.

right now its Enfamil. there are certain ones from enfamil. but my WIC office says that there are no doctor notes.

I would like to know this one too.

Most WIC offices I've seen go with either Similac or Enfamil, but if your baby can't take either just get a prescription from the pedi

They do enfamil...but you can fight it if you have just reason. They will try to tell you no- but get a dr's perscription and argue your case. None of my kids tolerated enfamil- and they were disagreeable to it- but I got them all on Carnation Good Start. (I think it's Nestle now?)

Depends on where you live. WIC here only gives Enfamil. I asked for Similac because I had been using it. They said that they don't give it anymore.
