Pre Prego Weight??

posted 1st Oct
ok so i didnt know where to post so i posted here. So im suppose to get a c-sectionand i was wondering is it harder to get back to your preprego size than it is naturally giving birth through your vagi gi.

How long did it take you ladies to get back to your preprego size after birthing your child natural or not??

Also i read that if you wanted your abs to be tight after you have a c-section that it would pretty impossible or hard to get it. Is that true?

i had a c-sect almost 6 months ago and im still like 30 pounds over my preprego weight. my stomach is ruined cuz they strech you out to get the baby out. i dont think i'll ever have a flat stomach again   part of it depends on your body type too. ive never been a skinny girl. preprego i was 124, but im only 5'0 tall(thin with some nice curves). its really going to take a lot of hard work for me to get back anywhere close.

I've got 6 lbs to go and I'm 5 months pp. I had a c-section. You can have abs again if you did before, you just gotta work your ass off! Mine are coming in SLOWLY!

I dont think the method of birth has alot to do with fat loss, more stomach toning than anything, because during a C-section they have to cut your stomach muscles in half to get to your uterus.... so obviously its much much harder to get your muscles toned and tight again once they have been sliced. But it shouldnt be any harder for you to lose your body fat just because you had surgery, vs. pushing baby out.
Breastfeeding has alot to do with it too, so if you BF you'll probably lose the initial weight a little faster since baby is eating up your extra calories!

Ya I do. My dr gave me the ok at 2 weeks pp, just no ab exercises until the scar didn't feel "hard" anymore. I started slow with light cardio and weights. hopefully I can get these last 6 damn pounds off! I gained 40 btw.

They dont cut your stomach muscles in half with a c section they cut vertically in between the muscles in the white tissue that holds the muscles together.

I gained 50 lbs with my first and 30 lbs with my second. I delivered both naturally, and it took me about 5-6 months to lose all the baby weight. I didn't exercise, but I did BF. They say that BF is like wearing a treadmill on your chest. LOL!!! Plus, BF stimulates your body to heal quicker. Although I lost the baby weight quickly, it did take me awhile to fit back into my old jeans because of my hips. It took them about 9-12 months to shrink back down, and some women's hips never do go back down. You just never know how your body will react until actually goes through it.
