I was reading about babymoons the other day, (a quick getaway before baby is born) and I was wondering how many of you went on one and whether it was worth it or not.

We went on a weekend babymoon when I was 19 weeks pregnant. It was definately worth it. It just helped us relax and get close again. And we didn't spend a whole lot of money either. We drove to Jacksonville and stayed in a 4 star hotel for $99/night. Went to a concert, the zoo, the movies, a little shopping and out to dinner. It was a great 3 day getaway!

I think you should definitely do a Babymoon. When the time comes, my husband and I are planning on doing something. It is your last chance as a couple to get away alone! You can just relax and enjoy a nice little vacay!

We did! It was the BEST!! We went to the Oregon Coast, which is only a few hours away. We got a 1 bedroom condo with a jacuzzi on the beach. We went out to a fancy dinner, knowing it was going to be the last that we didn't have to be back at a certain time. It was great to have a weekend together, before our lives were going to turn upside down and shook about. It you can afford it and you have time, I differently recommend it.

Your comment isn't really relevant to my post. If you haven't been on a babymoon, a simple "no" would have sufficed.

I say do it. I just got back from our babymoon (went to Maui) and I have to say that you won't regret going on a getaway. You'll look back and be so happy you took the time to have this vacation. This is our first baby so it really is the last vacation before we have kids. It's a huge life change!!! We were the laziest we have ever been on a vacation too but we didn't feel guilty since we knew that we should take advantage of not having to do any activities cause once you have kids, its a different story.

DO IT!!!
