yesterday my friend told me how her friend smoked 6 blunts a day and drank once a while throughout her WHOLE pregnancy. crazy right? she told me the baby was born perfectly fine and everything. n i said how can someone be soo ignorant and selfish to do that while pregnant ? well i had a doctors appointment, and asked my nurse what are the effect of smoking weed during pregnancy and she said there are none stated that she knows of. i found that really weird.. because obviously if its bad for the smokers lungs it would be just as bad for the babies lungs. it doesn't slow down ur running and make u out of breathe for no reason hahaha. so then i kept on thinking about it.. the topic just intrigues me ya know.. as i sat at home thinking about it my brother asked me, " if i gave you a weed/hash brownie and told you it was a normal brownie until you finished it, how would you feel?" i said id be pissed llol. but then that got me wondering, what are the effects of eating it? are they just as bad as smoking? they cant fuck up your lungs because obviously youre not inhaling it or smoking it or whatever but wouldnt the THC still get you all disillusioned and hallucinated.. somehow causing that to effect the babies brain?? idk im just really curious. i read some forums and articles on it on google.com but it seemed like jsut anyone writing about it not like medical ppl. and pretty much what they were saying is if u took a hit before labor it would calm u down and if u took a couple puffs once a week or so while pregnant it would make u relax better and not stress over everythin wit the pregnancy. now i have no means to try it for all u judgmental ppl who might be wondering. im just curious about the topic because i hear it so much. so what do you guys know about eating weed cakes n smoking it while pregnant n stuff?

The THC goes into your blood, ultimately getting into your baby's blood which intoxicates both of you.

the smoke is bad for you, but not the THC. At least I don't think so... I know women who smoked weed while preggo and nothing happened to baby.. in fact the kids are older now and at the top of their classes and whatnot.. I'm not saying that their mom smoking while preggo made them smart, but I'm saying that it didnt do anything to them... I've found no bad side effects of smoking pot while preggo...

I would think that eating a laced brownie is just as bad as smoking the drug itself. Just like injecting yourself with coke is just as bad as smoking or sniffing it. Either way you're doing drugs that fuck up your brain cells and other body functions.

No! Obviously it is not okay to smoke anything while you are pregnant.
You would think people would have figured this out by now.

Think of it this way. Everything you eat, your baby gets nourishment from it. So it probably isn't the most brilliant thing to do.
