TMI, just had to ask those who've given birth...

I'm not sure if this question should go in this category, but since I already had my baby I'm putting it here.


Since giving birth to your child, has anyone been having horrible experiences trying to poop? The first few days after my pregnancy were fine when I did it, but now it's like I'm trying to poop out a pine cone or it feels like I'm pooping out razor blades. It hurts sooo bad! Stool softeners make it soft, but it still hurts. It's been 5 weeks since I had the baby. I don't think it's hemmroids because there aren't any visible from the outside. It hurts on the inside... let me know if you guys had this and how you treated it! Thanks!!

im having the same problem...i hade an epitosomy (sp?) done and ever since then it hurts sooo bad...my daughter is also 5 weeks! Nothing i do helps!

try upping your fiber...that helped me! I more afraid to go since I had stitches...which then made it hard, and hard to go! I would eat a bowl of frosted mini wheats in the AM and it would help a ton! Good luck!!

i had a hard time pooping but i had a c section i thought my guts would fall out or something i was freaking

I had an episiotomy too! I wonder if that has something to do with it. I almost cry everthime I have to go!

Mine still hurts until now... 3+months PP... Sometimes my poop makes my butt bleed... I just had tucks for my hemorrhoid and didn't take any stool softener because my poop was really pebble-like even before I got pregnant.
You may want to try a stool softener (on contrary to what I did) and drink a lot of fluids...

I've tried that, it makes it easier to go, but the pain of trying to pass razor blades is still there.

i had the same problem, i went everyday and it wasn't hard but it still hurt really bad, it went back to normal like after 1 month pp

My butt bleeds too... I'm on stool softeners. It doesn't help with the pain though.

me too...i hate going to the bathroom now cause it hurts soo much! i always feel like something is going to rip or tear! ...you were due the same day as me but i had bailey the day before she was due!

I didn't have Abygail until the 26th... we got induced. She was 8 lbs 6 oz.

Bailey was 6 lbs 6 ounces....i went to doctors the20 before and my doctor was like well she might have to be induced cause your not dialated or anything...so i said screw that and walked sooo much then she came the 21st at 1:59 am! Iwas sooo happy i didnt have to be induced! I heard horror stories about that!

it wasn't bad for me... I didn't want to be induced though. She came in 8 hrs from start to finish. I had the epidural at 3 cm. The only difference is that once I started contractions they started at the peak so they began pretty painful. I guess with normal labor they start off kind ofweak and bearable. It went good though.

mine was only 6 hours and i didnt need an epidural until i got to 7 cms because contractions werent that bad but i have absolutely no tolerance for pain! lol
