re: TMI, just had to ask those who've given birth...

it sounds like you have internal hemorrhoids. i've had them before like a couple of years prior to my pregnancy and they've just started acting up again since the baby has dropped and has put pressure on them. if you bleed when you wipe then it's internal or external hemorrhoids. talk to your doctor b/c my doctor gave me some suppositories that are bascially a cone shaped soft pill that's white and it becomes a type of lotion once inserted. it helps w/ the burning (immediate relief) and heals the internal hemorhoids. it really calms the burning you have and it does make your stool softer too.

I was wondering if there was such a thing as internal hemorroids... thanks for the advice. I go to the doctor on the 6th, but I think I'll call to see if I can get in earlier. I'll see if she can give me something to help it. Good luck with your baby!

i havent had my baby yet but my mom warned me about the pain of pooping after birth she said she took stool softeners and drank lots of apple juice and it took most of the pain away. or atleast made it bearable to go.. She had hemerroids with me and a epsiotomy but they cut her from hole to hole so it was pretty bad down there.

Just thought I'd let you know what my doctor suggested about the hurting...

She didn't check me for hemrroids or anything, but she put me on Colace which is a stool softener and told me to increase my fiber intake. She gave me some samples of Metamucil (Fiber supplement). They make a powder mix that you mix with waterand drink it,and they also have pills, or cookie wafers to eat. The Metamucil Cinnamon waferstaste pretty yummy! I am taking the extra fiber 3 times a day and two colace pills a day. And she said to increase my liquids. I'm not sure if you are breastfeeding, but she told me that since my body was producing so much milk that I needed the extra liquids to help with the pooping. Today pooping felt a little better than usual, I just started all the fiber stuff and Colace yesterday. I've been drinking lots of apple juice and water too. Hope this helps you out! Hopefully it will make pooping a little more comfortable!
