Any way that you're pregnant? That's how mine felt when I first found out I was pregnant and my son was still breastfeeding.

I suppose it's a possibility. I was trying to rule that out though lol. The only other time I've had my nipples hurt like this besides the very first time I breastfed my oldest was when I nursed my oldest while pregnant. I always tell people that nursing while pregnant was the most painful thing my breasts have ever experienced. I guess we'll know in like a week? Is there anything else it could be? Thrush would itch, right?

Yes when I had it, it itched like crazy. Idk if it always does, but I still don't think it would be that painful.
Why don't you try cutting out night feedings? The way I did that right around the time my son turned 2 was that I told him he couldn't nurse after he brushed his teeth. So we would brush teeth, read some books, then I would put him to bed. There was about a week or two of screaming, and a few more weeks up him waking up and throwing fits in the night but it wasn't impossible even while cosleeping. It did help that I put him in his own bed but he would still sleep in mine some nights or come in during the night.

I am definitely going to try that. My oldest stopped nursing through the night at 18 months all by herself, I never had to night-wean her. She was so easy. This one, ugh. I have been putting her to sleep in her own bed which helps a lot, she starts out the night sleeping for 4 or so hours in there and then wakes up and comes into ours. It would be so nice to have her night weaned, I miss sleep.

Lol my son is 31 months old, I haven't had milk in months due to pregnancy, and he STILL asks to breastfeed almost daily. So believe me I understand
I actually can't wait to have milk again so I can make him happy. I never got any colostrum early with him though so I'm hoping even if nothing comes in before I have the baby he'll still have the interest after his little brother arrives.

That's so tough. I was a really lucky to not have my milk dry up during my pregnancy so my oldest nursed all the way through. I remember when my colostrum came in she told my milk tasted "yucky" but continued to nurse and then one day shortly after I'd given birth, I was nursing her and she said "Hey! Breakfast is back!" because apparently my milk finally tasted "good" again. She used to call it breakfast because it tasted like cinnamon, I assume from my cinnamon oatmeal. lol

Are you absolutely sure you're not pregnant? My daughter will be 2 on 1/4/13 and I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of September because my nipples were hurting like yours.

Alice got better as she got older. I could explain to her that it hurt and tell her to relatch. Caroline doesn't seem to care. I'll say "you're hurting mommy" and she'll say "no I'm not." Meanie lol.

You freaked me out so I took a test and it was negative. Surely it would be a BFP if I were having symptoms by now. I don't know when I'm due for AF because it has varied ever since I got my mirena out.

Yeah, very painful nipples while nursing was the only symptom I had and then two weeks after it started I got my BFP. However, we had thrush when my girl was a newb and it felt very similar, pain wise, but I would think your LO would be exhibiting symptoms of that was it.

You are really freaking me out now lol. I'll keep an eye out for thrush. I am/was worried because that's what I thought it was. One of my friends said maybe mastitis because I'm sick right now too and she was saying maybe that's why I'm sick.

That could well be. When I had mastitis I felt like I had the flu. I had a fever and I just felt terrible. Do you have any clogged ducts that you know of? That's what caused my mastitis. But my nipples didn't hurt for that, just the actual clogged duct and the area around it.
