same here
i wasn't going to go pass 6 months, and after the whole struggle in the begining that changed..........(the breast pump was my problem it was bruising me, leaving me sore for the first two months, and i was in loads of pain)
once everything turned fine i didn't have problems wipping out my boob in public when he was hungry (didn't whip it out litterally, but if he was hungry nothing mattered)
now i know he bfs for comfort........and if we're out, and he's hungry, he'll eat his normal food..........the grown up food.............so we don't have a need to pbf, he's also very distracted so i'm sure bfing would be the last thing on his mind
i also make sure to get home in time for his bed so he can have his routine, and things don't get screwed up

........i also thought ebf was ewww............but now i think he'll be coming back home from college to bf lol

Yeah, they wave to each other and try to kick one another, but the cutest thing they do is they like to hold hands... makes me tear up every time

I've never really nursed much in public. In the begining I had a way over active letdown and it was a mess! And once that settled down Addie was too busy and got distracted easily.

But, I was curious what others did. I figured as toddlers they would nurse mostly at home!

if you're at a mall, and there's a sears around they usually have nursing rooms
.........and it's nice that all the new/renovated malls here now have a large nursing room

although the last time i nip was in the summer.....probably july, so phillip was still 10 months old, and i did it at a swimming pool...........he was hungry, and i wasn't going to keep him hungry just to avoid a few looks..........besides his head is so much bigger than my boob that there isn't anything to see

it can be a pain at times, lately he is greedy and wants to sip on both! omgosh and if i tell him no, its like i am his property, it is kinda funny he will lift up my shirt, grab me in public. he loves the boob =)

My daughter is only 4 months old but I want to bf her until she is 2 years old, so I don't have much to say on the subject but I will be reading what the ladies have to say.

Ha Ha.. I thought I would pump for the second year. Ya right.. I had no idea...

and If Jamil wanted to NIP I would let him, but he wont, and we already don't. I think it is good to do it so it gets more exposure and people become more used to it. I do think at 2 Nip would be cut off, but they are more able to understand later I think... As for right now Jamil wouldn't understand even though he is 13 months, so I would... If he asked.

Also the few times I have tried he is REALLY distracted..

I do nurse in nursing rooms, or the couch in a restroom, and I will continue to do that.

A more likley situation would be if he is really tired, and then he will nurse and not pay attention to other things, if that's the situation I would nurse him where I was.

I have no problems with nursing in public and would do it also when Niklas is older but I have the feeling that it never will be an issue with us. He already at 10 months is almost impossible to nurse in a strange setting because he is just too interested in what is going on around him to nurse. As he gets older, I assume his being more interested in surroundings will be even stronger. If we are out for the day and it's time to nurse, I look for the quietest corner possible to nurse in. I also can not talk while nursing because he pops off to look at me if I talk. So having conversations with someone else in the room while nursing is also becoming less and less possible. Luckily for me, he has always been a fast drinker and we have never needed longer than 10 minutes to finish a nursing session so it's not that bad just to excuse myself into a quiet corner/room somewhere and nurse him quickly.

My daughter nurses really quickly too. Sometimes just a few minutes but no more than 10.
