nieces babysitter (vent)

ok so yesterday i went to my sister in laws house. well she asked if i could pick up her 4 year olddaughter from ballet and drop her off at her babysitters (my bil's wife)house. I said fine since everything was 3 blocks from me and i needed to get out anyway. So at 6:45 her ballet and flamingo class was over and we walked over to her babysitters house. so when we get there i ring the bell and her 13 year old son answered the door. So i asked him where his mom was and he said he didnt know. So i called her and asked where she was. she said im at david's (her 6 year old son) football practice. So i asked well im supposed to drop off jade what am i going to do? She said leave her with john and i said well im not leaving her here with a 13 year old. so she said well then i dont know what to tell you...i will be home in half hour and hangs up the phone....so i had to walk all the way back to my house with jade until 9 when her mother got off of work. But she knew i was supposed to drop off jade. It was her responsiblity to be there. So why is she giving me an attitude? So this morningwhen i saw her i was like i really didnt like your attitude yesterday and it was your responsiblity to be at your house to pick her up...there is no reason to stay with your son at football practice when you know you need to be somewhere else. She said well my son comes before anyone elses kid and if it was me i would have just left her there! I was like wtf is wrong with you...this is why your kids are the way they are! So i told my bf what she said and what happend and he said well sam just let it go and dont worry about it...thats it...its over and done with....Im just so mad about this! She had a responsiblity to be at her house and then she tells me that she would have just let my niece stay at a house with no adults! Now im afraid when she babysits her! well i guess there was no point to this post except to make me feel better....well thanks for listening!

i know....i was like wtf? she could/should have been there...and then for her to tell me oh leave her with her 13 year old! Something mentally wrong with her!!!

She had no right to get an attitude with you. If her kids come first, then she shouldn't have agreed to watch your niece. I wouldn't have left her there with a 13 year old either.

if i would have left her there and something would have happend then it would have been my fault...and this isnt the first incident that happend!

She obviousley doesn't give a shit about her friend's family or child's safety.

i don't think i would have done any different, and i would be upset, but i'm kinda with your husband. just let your SIL know that this woman was being a skank.
