Gonna have to change ob doctors cause i wont be able to stay on my mothers insurance no more..Hopefully ill even get medicaid or something but my doctor dont take medicaid and Im use to him already. It sucks

why cant you stay on?

I hate being on Medi-Cal but theres no other way id be able to afford to pay for my pregnancy.. but I think it sucks because I go to an office with rotating doctors & nurse practioners... although I really love the NP that's there.. but if I go into labor naturally... im going to get stuck with whoever is on call at the time.. I hate that but ill have to get over it.

well i actually get cut off new years day cause since to them my "doing school at home" aint really me actually getting up out of bed and going to a school, they dont keep you on..Really irks me.

That's odd. I got cut off mine but as long as i was doing highschool classes they couldnt take me off. I would suggest applying for medicade as soon as possible because it takes like 30 days to process and approve you. Medicade isnt that bad. I was on it and my daughter is on it now. I have a amaing pedi and i had a very good ob. It can be a pain, but all in all everything is covered which is nice. Also if you are approved for medicade you can get on wic with no probelms.

And if you do get approved for medicade to make things easyier on you. Instead of seaching in the phone book for obs just call the medicade hotline and ask them for the number of the medicade office in your city. they call them areas, you can call them and ask them for a list of ob's in your town that accept medicadeand you can also do that when trying to find a pedi. Assuming you will have medicade for this baby.

The insurance my dad has was like that. When each kid turns 21, if they are not going to an actual school they are kicked off.

I got kicked off when i was 19. Since i wasnt in college. And it sucked because a few months after that i got pregnant.
