wic breast pump

Does every WIC office offer breast pumps for breastfeeding moms who work or go to school full time? I had my first appointment today, and told the lady that I plan to BF, and will be in school full time, and she didn't say anything aboutgetting a breast pump. Has anyone heard of WIC offices not giving out breast pumps?

i didn't know that they gave them out. the coast guard is paying for me to rent one

i never knew they gave away breast pump. . .im going to ask abour it on my next visit

Talk to their lactation consultant... they have a program, and I think you actually have to ask in order to get one. I did, and they said to let me know when I needed it.

you know it really pisses me off that ppl on gov't assistance can get free pumps but ppl who pay a pretty penny for their own insurance cant get jack smurf.

you have to give them a paper that is saying that you are a full time student and then they we issue you a breeast pump that you can use

Cool, that helps a lot. Thanks! The lady that I met with did mention the lactation consultant, so I guess I'll have to set up a time to meet with her. I'm trying to get this all figured out now, so that I know if I have to save up to buy a pump on my own, or if I can get one through WIC.

At WIC here...they let you borrow one they don't give it to you

Yeah, I understand.
I wasn't going to get WIC because I was breastfeeding, so I saved up and bought my own pump.

WIC can give out pumps.

The babys NICU nursery also gave out pumps, so maybe if you mention it to a regular nursery you might be able to get one.

Thats because insurance is a rip off-- medical -car-flood insurance they are no help really they just pretend to be useful..there's so much fine print saying what they dont cover.

i think you can rent one but they dont just give umm a way
