Hip Click

I just found out that my 2 wk old son has a hip click , he has to go get an ultrasound done on Tuesday to determine how bad it is . Has anyone else had this with their baby ?

Yep. My son who was born 8 weeks early, delivered my c-section to boot because he was breech had a hip click at birth. By the time he was 2 months old it had gone away, but we had to have the ultrasound done around his 2 month check up to see if it was gone or not.
I think they just worry that the hip might not be staying in the socket properly, but from what I understand it tends to go away in something like 98 or so % of the cases....

I'm sorry I don't know anything about a hip click. But i'll be thinking about your little man! Keep us posted.

Was your son breech? If so that is most likely what caused it and it will most certainly go away...

Nohe wasnt breech ... he was turned the wrong way(face up instead of face down )though and after about 5 hours of different positions to get him to move he finally did .

The weird positioning could be what caused it. Most likely nothing to worry about, but good luck!

i don't knwo if it is the same thing but my daughters hips were uneven and we had to put a small hand towel between her legs all the time to keep her legs apart to make her hips grow a certin way. Is that the same thing?

anyway she is 12 weeks now and everything is fine.

I dont know if its the same thing , the only thing I know is its where the tendons in his leg havent grow all the way together . So we have to go get a ultrasound done to see how far apart they are ....
