2 questions about mirena..

first, I'm 9 weeks pp, I had a mirena put in a little over a week ago, I know it's normal to spot for a few months after you get it inserted but I didn't bleed at all until yesterday, I started bleeding veryyy heavy, like a period, I haven't had my period since before I was pregnant, do you think the heavy bleeding is a period or from the mirena? should I be concerned?

next, since I've had the mirena put in every time my fiancee & i have sex i get really nauseous after, like as soon as we're done i start feeling sick.. anyone else experience this? these are both questions i'm going to bring up at my next doctor visit but i would like to hear some of your input.. thanks ladies

Im suppose to be getting the mirena but my dr said he wants me on my period when they put it in. Was you on yours when they put yours in?

I don't know if this is the cause of the problem but my doctor said no sex for 2 weeks after Mirena is put in

If you didnt have your period before i would think that this is it. But i got it put in last week to and they put it in on the last day of my period and i was bleeding for about a day but im still spotting. And every day kinda verys, like i didnt for a couple days and then today i thought i peed myself. Just bring it up to your doc next time.
Oh have you been having any cramping? Cause all my pre pregnancy periods i never got cramps or anything and when i got my first pp period i would have rather gone though labor than have those cramps! But every now and then ill get a little cramps, it doesnt hurt so much as just bothering.

a friend of mine had the mirena she only had it for maybe 3 weeks she bled the whole time then last week she went to the bathroom and wiped(tmi sry)and out came the mirena along with a chunk of skin....be careful & good luck

Haha I can't wait until I'm done having kids. My vagina is way too gross for me, I'm having everything taken out lol

They do it like that so they "know" you're not pregnant.

I took a pregnancy test before letting them put it in, even though I only had sex 1 time prior

I'm not saying that you're pregnant, lol, but that's what my doc told me when she asked me what bc I wanted at my 6w pp check up. She said in nearly these exact terms: "We recommend having it put in during your period, usually the last day or so, to ensure you're not pregnant."
She told me that it didn't really matter with me because I am breastfeeding, that I won't necessarily get a period (even though I'm 13w pp, and still bleeding the majority of the time.)

ETA: Maybe it also makes insertion easier? Messier, but perhaps easier..

Haha don't worry I know you weren't saying I was pregnant. At least I better not be   I was just saying that instead of waiting for my period (since I'm breastfeeding exclusively and it can take a year) we did a urine test.

really? i asked my doctor when we could have sex and she said "immediately"

i've been having a little cramping, yes
