Ok Ladies, I need some HELP!

posted 22nd Sep
Im 20 days PP and its taking my stomach FOREVER to deflate.
Its bad enough i have stretch marks all over it but then im still wearingmy maternity shirts.

What have you all done to deflate you stomach faster? i wants my stomach back to how it used to be. Is taking diet pills a good way to help with that (im not breastfeeding)? I have been walking and working on my stomach muscles (not to much because im still sore from the c-section) but enough.

Iknow this may sound kind of superficial but i just want my confidence back. And i will do anything to speed up the process!!!

It takes 6 weeks for your uterus to shrink back, maybe less if you did BF. There's nothing you can do to speed up that process. In the meantime, skip the diet pills and eat right, and exercise when your doctor says to.

They have those belly wraps that you can try. My sister in law said it worked great for her.

You look pretty good to me. I mean your baby is what? 3 weeks old? Girl, just chill out and I promise it will go down. Besides, you have to wait for your dr to release you to start working out or anything again. I wore maternity shirts up until maybe a month ago. My daughter was 3 months old by then! You'll be fine!

i heard that girdles help LOTS.

women in my family have used them with GREAT results. some of them were even smaller than before they got pregnant.

Are you cleared to exercise yet? I'm 12 days pp from a c-section and I thought we weren't supposed to exercise for 6 weeks... anyways though your stomach looks alot better than mine.. I wouldn't dare post mine on here. It takes time.

Try one of those belly wraps that have the bra attached to it and make sure that it fits as tight as possible that what I used with my son as soon as I got out of the hospital and I also has a c-section it worked great for me now I know what to use for after this baby!

One of the ladies in my thread said to lay on your tummy when you sleep ... breastfeeding would have helped it too.. but she said that with her first she layed on her stomach at night and it helped her to "deflate" faster.

I think your belly looks awsome!!!!

You have to tighten the trans-adominals( they give the flat tummy)first then the six pack muscles is what my physical therapist told me. . . i did them with and exercise ball and did balancing while sitting on it and focusing on the muscles once those are tight then working on the others will firm up the top layer that will pull the skin and such in

I agree with everything said here.
On another note I lost every single pound of the *86* I gained when I had my son but it does take time. 20 days is really nothing in the scheme of things. Enjoy the maternity shirts, then burn them when you are really out of them lol.

um no i have a crappy doctor...she hasnt even set an appt up with me or even asked me to set one up. Long story but i had a horrible experience with the hospital i had my baby at and well, with my doctor to. They never told me andthing i can or can not do. so im lost on what is normal and what is suppost to happen after childbirth
