The problem with OTC diet pills is that they are a herbal supplement that is not regulated by the FDA (with the exception of Alli) So that being said there is no way to know what is in them. They can either be something as crazy as sawdust, to overdoses of potentially dangerous substances, like ephedrine and bitter orange.
Not only do they not work, sure they may give you a boost with the caffeine in them. But the truth of the matter is they are basically a placebo that you mind tricks you into thinking s working when in truth what really is happening is you are taking this pill then conscience of what you are eating and how much you are moving.
The ONLY way to lose weight is diet (as in healthy foods and the right portions) and exercise.
And the only reason Alli works if because it forces you to do the above or you leak oil out your ass.

I disagree.. There are supplements out there for females that do work... but a lot of it has to do with our diet..

In order to lose the baby weight (or just unwanted weight) you need to eat 6 times a day... 3 meals and 3 snacks... tons of water.. the more water you drink, the more water you lose.

Prior to my pregnancy, I was taking a lot of supplements (protein shakes 3 times a day, gym, vitamins, and some pills)... BUT my boyfriend is a personal trainer and a certified nutritionist... and plan an starting right back up to everything once I am done breastfeeding..

There is such a thing as FAT SKINNY... Yeah you can be 5'6 and a freaking 100lbs.. and never go to the gym or eat fast food constantly... I understand if for health reason your body is unable to process certain types of vitamins or stuff like that...

But I'd rather be (which I was pre-pregnancy) 5'1 and 130lbs with a body fat percentage of 15%... then 5'1, 90lbs and body fat percentage of 50%...

Check out Max Muscle.. for females its called FemmeLean.. or something like that.. thats just off the top of my head..

Quoting Whitney Pie.:“ I need to get this out because it is driving me insane!!! I can't believe the amount of young woman I ... [snip!] ... industry? Throw that crap away, ladies and gents. It does NOTHING but burn a hole in your wallet!! Now, discuss.

Before I got pregnant, when I was 18, I weighed 220 and got the diet pill Meridia to take. I ate healthy and exercised, I didn't just take the pill only becuase nothing works like that alone. It actually helped me slowly lose weight and get down to 140 and a size 9 in jeans and a medium in shirts. Then, you are supposed to gradually go off then and continue exercise and healthy eating for the rest of your life. Then, I kept that weight for 2 years and then got preggo. I would never take diet pills again, I'm 6 months pp and weigh 230 (I weighed 215 after birth.) I'm gunna try and eat healthier and exercise now, but that was just a thing I tried, but wouldn't do it again (It was too expensive, $90 bucks a month.)
