re: Vaccination: Researching the Issue

I believe about 95% of all SIDS are due to vaccines. I also believe that a LOT of shaken baby cases are actually vaccine injuries as well.

" Approximately 95% of persons infected with polio will have no symptoms. About 4-8% of infected persons have minor symptoms, such as fever, fatigue, nausea, headache, flu-like symptoms, stiffness in the neck and back, and pain in the limbs, which often resolve completely. Fewer than 1% of polio cases result in permanent paralysis of the limbs (usually the legs). Of those paralyzed, 5-10% die when the paralysis strikes the respiratory muscles. The death rate increases with increasing age."

not so scary when you consider how few ppl have any symptoms.

Polio is very rare now. My son is 3 and just got his first vaccine 2 weeks ago. We delayed vaccines till 3 because we felt safer that way. We aren't letting him get all of them.. but for me polio is one I decided for him to get.. just because I had a family member die from it. I however also had a family member be VERY badly injured by vaccines, to the point that he's in a wheelchair and can't walk or talk and still needs his diaper changed at 28...

no problem... it's the CDC site, so obviously they are pro-vax, but it made me feel good that even a pro-vax site mentions that 95% have NO symptoms. I would go farther and look up on VAERS how many people (children/babies) have reactions to the current polio vaccine...

That has to be hard, I am so lucky my mom is so supportive. Have you shared your information with her? What made you not want to vaccinate?

Theres multiple reasons, we origianlly were going to selective vax and spread them out so he didnt get so many at one time. but our main reason is once we started
looking into each vaccine we decided to wait atleast until he is a year cuz we both haved SIDs and Autism in our family. Even though there not prooven it still makes us nervous about the possible risk.

She is having a reaction to the vaccine. And reactions are much more common then we are led to believe. You need to report it.

Also I would do some research on them and maybe read some info on this vaccine reaction page.

i've done so much research. i know all the risks etc but there is a whooping cough uptick in our specific area so i didn't want to take the chance with the new baby coming and her picking up every germ in preschool.
our ped barely wanted to give her the two vaccines she got and flat out refuses most of the others.

Everything I have read about recent outbreaks shows many ppl spreading are actually the ones getting the vaccine. Most of the cases are not the strain we are being vaccinated against.
