That's awesome! My daughter got the hep b @ the hosp   we stopped after that (became more informed). She is 14 months and has been sick 3 times   twice with colds and once with HFMD. fortunately they have all been mild & easily recovered from. I can't imagine how she would be if she had a compromised immune system!

It's common, vaccines weaken the immune system. If I go back to my 5 yr old, all of his "major" illnesses as a baby happened within a week or two of his vaccines. My youngest is by far, my most healthy child. He has allergy induced asthma, but I have HORRIBLE seasonal allergies so unfortunately that's something that could have probably never been avoided.

hi ladies, i have a question: do you think its necessary to vaccinate your kids if youre traveling to a different country? if so what vaccinations would be ok for them to get?

For me, personally, I wouldn't. I would take precautions such as making sure to practice proper hygiene and as cliche as it sounds, not to drink the water   However, I am becoming pretty anti vaccination, especially for my children, so I wouldn't feel the risk would be worth it for my children. We have already dealt with reactions, so I wouldn't ever want to further risk more.

Breastfeeding serves as a better protectant for it than that vaccine.

that's not what i was asking. My daughter is almost 4. She's no longer breastfeeding. And I just was almost deathly ill with what may have been a haemophillis bacterial infection in my throat. she was exposed.

From what I have researched, by 4 or 5 the risk is drastically lower and they should only get the vaccine if they are in a high risk category. Since she has been exposed I would start increasing her vit d3 and vit c intake and a probiotic to help boost her immune system. Most likely she will be able to fight it off better than you or I since she is vaccine free, her body has been left to natural do what it's supposed to

Sorry I was kinda vague there. If you breastfed your daughter it usually provides protection even after you are done...something like ten years....Www.nvic.org has some good info on the disease

Seeing their excuse to why they cluster 6 to 9 vaccines at a time is just ridiculous...

My son is 3 and has never been vaccinated either. He did get ear infections alot and we didn't know why.. we then found out he had a casein allergy.. Once that was out of his diet.. the ear infections stopped
