Quoting Sharonblueyes{EBFB}: UGH ladies... I have a vent. Nowhere else to put it. It really frusterates me when people make the ... [snip!] ... healing... Pfft. And of course, I could never say this to them in real life. so I'm venting on here. lol sorry.
Quoting LUvMyDoggies: That's so sad. I hope the baby makes a full recovery... I gues in this case the best thing you can ... [snip!] ... but I know alot of people choose to because they truly believe that it will protect their kids...but this is very sad
Quoting Sharonblueyes{EBFB}: UGH. According to this link, the new proposed mandatory health care coverage will include mandatory vaccinations. ... [snip!] ... UGH. According to this link, the new proposed mandatory health care coverage will include mandatory vaccinations. Meaning, those needing medical care will be denied until they are current on their shots. *sigh* How can this be constitutionally possible??????? HOW can the governement decide what is right for each of us to put in our own bodies? They can't even say that Peanut Butter and Shellfish are safe for every person, how can they claim that about a vaccine? *cries* I'm fucking moving back to Canada if this thing really passes. http://www.youronlineinsurance.com/health-insurance/will-fed-governments-proposed-mandatory-health-insurance-work-141/comment-page-1/#comment-9The constitution doesn't seem to be of concern these days... my husband has decided we will definitely have to move, maybe to Canada.. Im pretty nervous but am atleast trying to keep an open mind.. you just don't know what will happen ;(

It is your own fault if you do not do your own research, however it's incredibly hard for people to understand anyone would ever hurt their child for greed, let alone the medical field. You have to feel for them, while at the same time its hard not to be upset at them for being part of the cause.
Quoting Sharonblueyes{EBFB}: I agree, it is very sad. I love that baby, and his parents as well, they are very good friends of mine. I just can't help but feel like they should have known better. You would be upset with a friend who was smoking around their child, who was giving them too much soda,or that was harming them in anyway, this one is tricky b/c there is no warning of the truth of the effects, but encouragement from the doctors whom they trust.

Quoting rosamor {EBFB}: Yep, but this is only true if you take 1000 units of vit. D a day instead of the recommended 400. I ... [snip!] ... the recommended 400. I make sure my whole family takes vit. D. We don't get enough sun over here, especially this time of year!
Quoting TheCndymnCan(EBFB): how much should i be taking if i am a healthy adult? i give emma two drops daily now, bc of us living where we do...what is the ratio of drops to "units"? TIA
Quoting rosamor {EBFB}: I'm not sure. It depends on what kind you have. I have Enfamil D-Vi-Sol for my son and 1mL equals 400 ... [snip!] ... Overdosing is rare but if it does occur it takes months to get back to normal and for all the Vit D to leave your body.
Quoting LUvMyDoggies: Ive been looking for info on vitamin d but can't find much...I'm breastfeeding and not sure how much to take...

Quoting Sharonblueyes{EBFB}: I'd check out Dr. Soram Khalsa's book, The Vitamin D Revolution. He covers pretty much all aspects of vitamin D use, deficiency and dosage for everybody. I got it for like 10 dollars.
