talking at 3-4 months??

at like 3 months my son said wow alot. and if you would say it he would say it back. now he has said mama a couple of times but not at me. does this count as talking, he has always been a really really social baby, but does he have to know what the words mean for it to count as his 1st word?? is he really talking?

He's probably just trying out different noises and tryint to copy you. Sometimes it sounds like babies say words, but it's usually just a coincidence or an accident. Usually babies are 6+ months before they start to sound out single syllabol words and stuff.

he's probably just repeating what you are saying, and learning to work his sounds. 
does that make sense?

They are babbling words, having fun learning how to move his mouth! Smart baby!

My baby copies my. One time he said moooooo by himself and I was cracking up. I say DaDa and he says LaLa, MaMa he says mehmeh. but he can't say anything on his own,. or ptu two and two together lol. OMG one time my husband swore up and down that he kept saying hello several time at once, but AJ was like asleep kinda haha, the baby was just laughing.

So cute! My son is 6 weeks old and I swear he told me "No" the other day! Of course they do start young now days! LOL

lol when Aameira cries every single time it sounds like shes same mmmaaa maaaamaaa or mummum lol shes gunna be calling my mom Mom-Mom its a philly thing. But like she copies us all the time like when we do the kissy sound shes do it and when i do the raspberrys she copies them too.. But sometimes it really sounds like mama lol but OP i think its just them copying us even though i want to believe other wise so i can shove it in my boyfriends face that she said mama first
