I read that a few years back as well, it is enlightening.

I've tried to commit suicide twice, once when I was 15 and another time when I was 18. After that I started cutting myself. Not to end my life, but just because seeing blood made me feel better. I have also had a substance abuse problem in the past, and quasi recently that I have really been able to control for the most part , luckily. It's been quite a few years since I cut myself, and I really hope the urge doesn't come up again.

Anyway, I'm not sure what exactly I'm trying to say here, but maybe I just needed to get that off my chest.

I think that maybe they are talking about normal levels of stress.

I would think so.

Or, more specifically, normal levels of stress in people without psychological issues - someone who is depressed might respond differently to what would be a normal level of stress for someone who is "mentally healthy".

And I'd think extreme stress could trigger it even in someone mentally healthy.

i think suicide can be a really rational thing... not always, but on occasion. i'm not talking about kevorkian either. lol.

Thank you for posting this C. Within the past 2 weeks, 3 people I know commited suicide. Hopefully this will help someone out there.

I am going to be very honest.

I have been very depressed lately. Most of the time I don't want to even get out of bed. Not much makes me happy anymore. I hate the way my life is right now. I cry all the time. I have lost interest in things I normally am interested in.

If I didn't have Kinley and Addi...and Gaga. I don't know how I would keep sane right now.

Kathy, have you spoken to your doctor? PPD can show up anytime within the 1st year or so. Please call your doctor.

I had an appointment to make sure that my IUD was still in place but of course. Mike made me cancel.  

I will call them on Monday and see if they can get me in.
