Ok i just moved into my house about 3 weeks ago and just about a week ago i have been seeing ants like crazy. I set up some ant traps and they are working a little but i want to get rid of the suckers!! But i dont want to bomb becuz of my son or spray. So does anyone have any suggestions on what i can use to get rid of them? Thanks in advance.

I have them bad at my office too. They are the baby ones and are always crawling on me. Yuck. I think there is a powder you can use for them that you put around the area where they are at.

I saw someone post something about sugar (to attract them) and borax powder (to kill them). I'm not really too sure how you would keep the baby out of them, unless he's not mobile.

cornmeal. They eat it and they can't digest it. I live in Grenada and it's really hard to get rid of them. The best way was to follow them to where they were going (through cracks in the wall) and caulk the holes.

My dad always sprinkled this powder around our house and then would use the spray on the inside. If it got bad we would go to a hotel for a night while he spends time spraying every room in the house and every window/door. After that happens it is usually ant free for the next year or two.

they make a spray thats for both outside and inside and its safe for kids and pets after it dries, you do it around the perimiter(sp)of the house outside and same inside, and it really works! we got it at lowes and it says right on the package that its safe for kids and pets, but it smells to high heaven you can ask them in the store and they should be able to help you with it

That was me who posted that.
But yes, according to wikipedia, borax can cause skin irritations in humans so it shouldn't be used around a mobile baby
