Quoting whitney_1811:“ I need major help. I am tryin to break my 14month old from his bottle at bed time. He is not having it ... [snip!] ... everything. the cups with the soft nipples; hard nipples; warm milk, cold milk; chocolate milk, juice, water. HELP. PLEASE!”
I let my son drink for a few minutes...put him to bed...without the bottle....got my baby monitor...shut the door and went and sat on the porch and let him scream it out. The first night it was like 3 hours...and it slowly went down. After a week he would whine for like 3 minutes. Every few minutes I would click the baby monitor on to make sure he was ok and eventually he got the point. Hes not a healthy happy 3 year old and goes to bed with no problems what so ever.
It hurts to hear your baby scream, but you know whats best for him and sometimes you just have to do it....
