Happy 4th!! The weather is shiteous here I tell ya.

Nichole - about the couch thing. When he would start like he was trying to get down I would flip him over and just keep going "backwards" until he got the hang of it. Now anytime he was to get down off of something he does it. But I still do the backwards thing.

Evan has his red 4th shirt on now. I have a cute outfit but it's sleeveless and it's not going to be too warm today. Plus w/this crap weather we probably won't be doing anything today - who knows!

So let's see...Phoenix got into climbing right after he started walking too. It scared the living shit out of me, because like you said I couldn't leave him be for just a minute anymore in fear of him breaking his face, but soon he figured out climbing backwards off of things by me telling him and him seeing my nephew do it. Then I had to get him to stop trying to stand up on the furniture, and now we're good. He'll climb on the couch and just sit there. He'll even swipe your seat. Once you get up all bets are off in his book. This is him climbing onto my grandmother's chair to sit with her dog:
Today we're going to Disney World to see a Fourth of July parade Mickey-style, grab some lunch, and then tonight we're going down to the lake with my parents to see the fireworks. I'm stoked. Pheeny is wearing a striped red shirt with blue khaki shorts. Whoo hooo, rock on America!

He throws these awful tantrums!! I'm scared he'll be like those kids in the stores.  

Just as was was reading this Evan was throwing a tantrum b/c I wouldn't open the gate to the kitchen. So far he has been pretty good in stores - I hope it stays that way. I'm w/you - I don't want to be the Mom whose kid is so annoying public lol

I am so upset. Alexis' mom didn't pay me today. Didn't say one word about it. I've watched her for 4 1/2 weeks & had only gotten paid once. I tried calling her, since we were supposed to go to Todd's mom's house today & it'd be nice to have that extra money, but she didn't answer.

  I'm actually REALLY insulted. I rearrange my whole life practically for them without saying a word. I deal with her daughter's BS a HELL of a lot better than most people would.. and she can't pay me like she's supposed to? If it wasn't for an innocent baby being involved, I'd not watch her like I'm supposed to. Hell. You get what you pay for. & If you aint paying anything, you aint gonna get a whole lot.

That's total bullshit! You need to tell her that you can't do this for free - you have a family to raise too. We pay my babysitter every Monday morning for that week. I would start that rule w/her. Man, the nerve of some people - it's crazy!


I didn't even have to go anywhere for fireworks. My neighbor puts on the best show! I just sat on my front porch and watched them for 45 minutes - he must spend a fortune!
