posted 17th Sep
I'm stocking up and making a whole bunch of dishes to put in my new massive freezer. When the baby is here it will be just so much easire to take out prepared healthy meals then ordering take away becasue we are both too tired to cook. Well I have heeps of meals already, but I want more ideas!
What are your best recipes and stuff that can be frozen? (Edit: Please nothing spicy. My husband is very sensitive to spicy food.  )

Here are mine if you wish to know:
Spaghetti bolognese
Lasagna
Creamy Bacon Fettucini
Pizzas (All different kinds)
Meat loaf

Chicken and white wine sauce
French chicken
Chicken soup
Pork balls
Mashed potatos
Pasta and rice (To freeze for easy cooking)
Beef and chicken pies
Bread rolls

Thats all so far.

Oh good

I also made sure to have a supply of fruit/granola bars near where I was nursing and frozen fruit and veggies. Mmmmm... sucking on frozen raspberries! So refreshing! That's making me want Raspberry bran muffins..... hmmm.... I think I'm going to bake tonight!

i make a darn good freezer pie

I don't have a recipe though. I kinda wing it.

frozen or fresh soft flesh fruit or berries ( I LOVE raspberries)
4-8 oz of philly cream cheese (told ya i wing it!)
about a pint or more whipping cream
sugar to taste

gram cracker crust

in a blender start w/berries and cream until smooth.
add cream cheese a bit at a time (too much makes it just taste like cream cheese)
sweeten to taste
pour and freeze over night.

YUM!

How are you storing the food? I think its a good idea to make them and freeze them to just toss in the oven, but i cant think of how to store alot of the stuff because honestly, i really like my pyrex pans to bake or cook anything in, but well.. im not freezing those, and i cant afford to buy that many.

I'm going to my local Chinese food shop and buying about 50 take away containers. Should cost me about $10-$20. Also getting a bunch of freezer bags and I already have soup containers that can be sealed and frozen.
