that sounds pretty bad, she needs help, its really hard to get it yourself!! i was really afraid of him, and when i did try to leave him 3 times he found me and forced me to go back everytime!! if i wouldve had any family or friends to help me, i wouldve told them not too but i wouldve been greatful if i couldve gotten outta there sooner

I've been there sorta. And as a matter of fact the guy i'm pregnant by choked me last friday and told me he was going to kill me. IDK what made him stop but it got to the point where i couldn't even fight back. On top of that he tried to suffocate(sp) me many times as well. Long story short i called the police on his ass and haven't seen him since (has not yet been caught and has tried to get in contact with me sevral times) but i knew i didn't want to be with him

Your friend isn't going to let that guy go unless she is really ready to let him go out of her life. No matter what others say. I was in a bad relation ship for a while at it was like everyone was telling me to leave him alone but i wouldn't until i myself got tired of him. Just hope and pray she gets sick of it really soon. She also might be scared to leave him alone

My sister was in an abusive relationship. She came home one night with a black eye and a fat lip, so she couldn’t conceal it from us. I’m glad I knew about the abusiveness to keep an eye out for her, but my family’s knowledge of the situation didn’tdo anything but frustrate us since she went back to him regardless of what we said or reinforced in her. The sad thing is, I don’t think any of it is relevant – you can’t protect a woman that accepts abuse. However, to answer your question love, yes I think the family should know. I’m really glad that I knew, and was at least able to keep tabs on her and know what was going on and at least give her my love and light through those ugly times.

And she told her if something happens to her she will have to deall with the guilt of not telling someone.And to top it off ladies he does Meth, so you know that drug can make you do all types of scary things.

Regardless of the stuff we may agrue about on here (e.g. politicians) lmao i would never wish this on any women.. and these types of issues should be discussed as well.
I was watching something on the news I believe , and they were saying that abusive relationship are happening more and more to really young women for some reason now.

As someone who was once a person getting hit I would tell, but dont expect that to change anything. The person has to come to the realization that the relationship isnt healthy herself. She has to WANT to leave. All the begging and offers of help wont do anything until she is ready.

It would depend. If she had children that might be harmed, I'd probably tell someone, for their sake.

However, as much as I would disagree with her decision, if my friend didn't want me to tell anyone, I'd respect that choice as it's hers to make. I'd do what I could to get her to see reason, and get help, but I wouldn't come between her and her family like that if she really did not want me to.

Lord forbid anything bad does happen... but she means feeling guilty for not telling anyone if something bad happens and it could have been prevented.
