Moderators Discussion Thread [updated]

So here's the deal:

if you're a moderator and have an issue (w/ a vote, w/ the system, whatever) this is the place to come and discuss it.

PLEASE DO NOT POST ABOUT MODERATOR ISSUES IN THREADS YOU ARE MODERATING!!!

HOW IT WORKS:

1. the OP (original poster) can flag any post from anyone in their thread except for people in their parentank (PT).

2. the OP can only flag one post at a time -- if they flag another post before the votes have been processed, they will be unable to flag it until the previous thread has gone through.

3. to prevent abuse, if the OP flags THREE posts that are denied by the community moderators w/in a 48 hour period, their OP moderation rights will be suspended for the next 48 hours.

4. how to vote: as a moderator you can vote to remove anything you don't want to see in BG, but keep in mind that your voting can work for or against you. if you vote in opposition to the majority too frequently, your vote will count less and less.

5. where are my moderation requests? they will be displayed in the same area you receive your PM, comments, topic replies alerts.

6. how often will i get them? we have designed the system to ensure that moderation requests are responded to very quickly, which means you will probably not get many (if any) moderation requests w/in a day as the voting moves very fast.

7. i don't want to be a moderator anymore! if you no longer want to be a moderator, simply go to the "moderation requests" link in your internal profile (under your avi and the "my account" link).

I have an issue ...
I can usually not click yes or no - it just sits and does nothing .
Help ?

Yea the last time I had one (today) I voted and clicked the Vote button and it just kept saying "error on page" at the bottom and wouldn't let me vote. Maybe it was a one time thing?

we were just talking about that in MJL, we assumed it was because the thread was already in TDC.

It worked yesterday..
If I am not mistaken it hides that person's comment ( I think)

Ahh that makes sense .

I think it should be a rule that people shouldn't post what they voted.

It should all be kept secretized.
