Quoting shmvogt:“ Cucumber Salad Dice 1/4 block of cheese 3 cucumbers sliced or diced creamy cucumber salad dressing ... [snip!] ... cucumber salad dressing mix all together in a large bowl add desired amt of dressing and serve kids love this and so do adults”

Ohh thats a different way than I was always taught... I've always put as many cucumbers as I liked... cut onions in wedges... drown it in oil but mostly apple cyder vinegar... at seasoninngs if you want... like italian seasoning... and let it marinade in the fridge for the night....

Spread out some regular nacho flavored Doritos on a big plate.
Shred Monterey Jack cheese over all the chips
Top each chip with a sliced jalapeno (or two  )

My MIL just emailed this to me. I have no idea if it really works, but I'm definately going to try it

Subject: Chocolate Cake-In-A-Mug
DANGEROUS CHOCOLATE CAKE-IN-A-MUG

1 coffee mug
4 Tbsp. cake flour (plain, not self-rising)
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. oil
Small splash of vanilla
3 Tbsp. chocolate chips, optional
Add dry ingredients to mug, mix well with a fork.
Add egg, mix thoroughly.
Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well.
Add chips, if using.
Put mug in microwave, and cook for three minutes on 1000 watts.
Cake will rise over top of mug--do not be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate if desired.
Eat!
(This can serve two if you want to feel slightly more virtuous.)
***And WHY is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only five minutes away from chocolate cake any time of the day or night!!!***
___________________________________________________________________________
This works!! It will rise way over the mug but it will be fine. Oh, dear! What is a chocoholic to do!!

Edit:

I am retracting this recipe. Tried it over the weekend and it's GROSS!!!

FIRECRACKER CHICKEN WRAPS (LIKE LONGHORN'S)

chicken boned or not
chili seasoning/marinade
pepper jack cheese
flour tortillas
Avocado Lime Sauce (recipe follows)

Grill or roast chicken with a marinade of chili pepper seasoning. You can get
marinades like that all over the spice aisle at your local grocery. I would
marinade it for at least 2 hours to make sure the “firecracker” is bone deep.

Shred the grilled/roasted chicken.

Get small flour tortillas (6-inch will make the signature longhorn size). If
your tortillas are large ones cut them in into thirds. Brush the inside of the
tortilla with butter or use butter spray--they have to stick once you roll them
up.

Heat your oil up to 300/350 degrees about 1/2-inch deep. Oil has to be hot
enough to crisp the tortillas quickly without the cheese melting all the way
out.*

Take your shredded chicken and wrap it along with some shredded pepper jack or
cheddar cheese and wrap up tightly--finger size--in the tortilla. They’ll be
long so cut them in half. Fry these until golden brown.

AVACADO LIME SAUCE
Our waitress one time said she believed Longhorn's Avocado Lime Dressing was just the house ranch dressing mixed with a little bit of avocado and lime
flavoring...although she thought the avocado and lime came in a package mix because she never saw avocados in the back. So the ranch dressing is Hidden Valley Ranch package mix….they make it in the back. Try this with some fresh avocado and lime and see what you think.

also, i don't know how many if you like longhorn, but they used to have this chicken dish that was grilled chicken breast smothered in a white cheese with a red pepper sauce and mashed potatos and asparagus, and i LOVED it! unfortunetly, they stopped carrying it, and i was hoping to find a recipe for it, and can't remember what it was called. anyone know? thanks!
