Anyone have any good venison recipes? I got a backstrap, a shoulder and some ground meat.

We usually marinade our backstap in Italian dressing, soy sauce, a little water and seasoning(whatever you like). We batter them with egg, dip in seasoned bread crumbs, and fry in the deep fryer. It's great!!!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies:

-Devils food cake mix
-4 oz cream cheese
-1/2 cup peanut butter
-1 egg

Oven: 375
Bake: 7-8 minutes

I always bake mine longer and instead of devils food I use white..I didn't really like the chocolate lol

Well we usually use backstrap for jerky. You got a dehydrator? As for the ground meat, deer makes awesome chili!! This is an awesome recipe, and you can use the other parts of the venison if you like. Just cut the meat into cubes.

I think it was in this thread that someone posted a recipe for crockpot chicken and dumplings. I made it once, it was delish, now I can't find it lol. I found a different recipe for it on another website, made it last night, and it came out watery. Anyone remember that recipe or have a good one? It used the canned biscuits as dumplings.

tacos, burritos...my mom used to make these things and they were yummy...
get store bought biscuits and press them down in a cupcake pan, then fill each one with ground beef that has bbq sauce mixed in it...then top with cheese and bake till it looks yummy. super easy and good

Tater Tot Casserole
1 lb hamburger meat
1 onion
8 oz pkg cheddar cheese
1-2 cans cream soups (depending on how much you are making) Any are good, mushroom, celery or even cream of chicken
1 - 2 cans green beans

Brown hamburger meat adding chopped onions when meat is almost done. Heat cream soup in pan, keep warm. Using casserole dish, put green beans on bottom, adding drained hamburger meat and adding about half of the soup mixture. Top with tater tots, covering with remaining soup mixture. Bake for about 45 mins or until tots are done and browned. Top with cheddar cheese and bake just until melted. This casserole is great with or without the green beans. Is also good with asparagus as an option.
