Happy New Years Girls. I hope you and your families are doing well. It's been a while since I've been on here. Damn near a year....wow.

BUT! I'm back and need some thoughts and opinions. So it's a new year and I have my eye on a new stroller. I still have my Xplory, its the love my life, but it limits me from going anywhere (except for up the block to Target)   Spring/ summer is around the corner and I REFUSE to be stuck home, AGAIN!

Anyways, I live in NYC and I need a umbrella stroller for trains, buses, ferrys...you know the deal. I've been eyeing the Joovy groove. Gorgeous colors, generous canopy, sleek look and the shopping basket ain't too shabby. I'm really feeling the Blueberry color:

i personally just dont like umbrella strollers...they fold long, which in my opinion is not a compact fold, and the baskets just pointless once the sest is reclined. why dont u get something like a baby jogger ity mini? i have the GT and i love it! would u need to fold the stroller when ur going on buses? if so, the baby jogger will be a much wiser choice!

I don't really like the dual handle strollers, they're impossible to maneuver 1-handed...even the Orbit 'wandered', it drove me insane. Also, looking at the folded pic...I just see a million places for pinched fingers!

I second the City Mini!!! They're both $200. Better wheels, better canopy, deeper seat recline, easier/compact fold, better accessories like parent console or an actual cup holder, snack tray [we LOVE having one on the Cammy], 1 hand steering...if we didn't have a Bee+, I would definitely want a black City Mini [...and a fabulous liner]. :]

Hmmm.....

I like it, but I have a few issues with it.
It's still a little too bulky. It does have a compact fold but because it folds horizontally that takes up space. Like when I'm on the bus I can't sit it in front of me because there's no leg room and i'm already a giant, So I would have to set it next to me on the floor, taking up the next seat's leg room so no one would be able to sit there (That's the biggest cause of arguments in NYC.)

Two: Like how they say "Everything's Big in Texas"...Well Everything's small and narrow in NYC Lol. Our supermarkets aren't like Pathmark, Shop Rite or Whole foods. (And we have those store and they're still quite small!) Think Tiny 99 cent stores....THAT'S how our supermarkets, Corner stores, And damn near everything else is. Smu*f, we have a baby Target compared to every other state. So that stroller is like a MINI VAN!

When I walk around with the Xplory I already take up the whole sidewalk, and when I get in elevators I take up space for 3 people AT LEAST! lmao.

I'm sorry if i'm going on and on I just want ya'll to get how cramped it is over here.

Any other suggestions ladies?

Ah. Gotcha. Ya, the City Mini is about 3" wider in the rear wheels...but is actually 4" or 7" slimmer when folded, depending the direction it's facing.

Oh...what about a Peg Perego Pliko Mini?! Also about $200-$250. They are all around slimmer [folded & open] also 4lbs lighter, then the Joovy. Nice recline, adjustable leg rest & handles, good canopy! The 1 hand fold is debatable...it's the same as our Pliko and it can be done, it's just quicker/easier to use 2!!! The best feature is that it stands alone when folded...so you never have to lay it on the dirty ground. They're not lacking in style and how cute is this little comic print...

Hi there!

I have a Bugaboo Gecko, I love it!

The problem is the hood which is black has started to fade due to sun damage so im getting a custom made which fabric do you think would suit a black gecko more?
This is the one im leaning more towards.

But i also like this one.

I think black base, you could do anything with...but, I would go with the top/butterflies! The bottom would look better with a tan or red base.

Yeah i was thinking the black outline of the butterflies would tie in with the black base, also i dont think the butterfly one will show as many marks.

Oh. I posted in your other thread...the light really doesn't show marks and it doesn't look as faded as quickly after wash & wear/sun...etc!
