re: Ultrasound confussion???

posted 8th Sep
I think if you're seeing the hot dog area of his junk it's probably most likely a boy. I don't kow if you plan on getting a 4d ultrasound during your pregnancy but to me...that was the only way I was sure of Addie's gender besides her actual birth....I mean you could see her goods.

Actually there have been a lot of cases where the cord is wrapped in a way that looks like a penis when it isnt.

The doctors have been wrong once for me - it was my first they told me boy all along and she is definitely not a boy.
The others that I did find out with were all correct.
2 boys 2 girls ... this time they tell me girl - we'll see if they are right or wrong in a few weeks.

Quoting trinitylynn06:“ Can you guys figure out when it's a swollen labia or is that just plain impossible. Because like Nicole............Landin said all I can manage to see in my u/s is a hotdog.”
The shot my doc got of my second child had two hotdogs....one umbilical cord (which is what a penis can be confused for, especially if there aren't testicles to go with it) and then a lump below those. No, he's not deformed, but we were able to see the umbilical cord, his little pee pee, and then the testicle sac below. We were 100% sure he was **all boy**. Those were the doc's words. She was determined to get it right, she'd only been wrong 2 times in 15 years, and both of them were on breech boys, and the first time she looked, my son had been breech.

Quoting Nicole............ Landin:“ ok I was just wondering how many of you have experienced the doctor telling you that you have a boy and ... [snip!] ... gir?. I have herd several times about a girl being a boy but it seems pretty safe to say when you see a winkie it a boy right?”
One of my brothers was def. supposed to be a girl and he is not. I know a few others it has happened to as well.
