how to cope...

i just lost my father two days ago, he commited suicide on sept. 2nd. i have about 2 more months till i have my baby girl, and i am really depressed, how do i cope with something like this? i just dont understand, and its so hard.. i am only 17 and i am very depressed about this whole thing.. any advice would help.

I'm very sorry for your loss. In my opinion its such a selfish thing for someone to do, they leave behind a world of guilt and pain for family and friends.

Are you in school, or attend church? I would seek out someone to talk to, the counceler (sp???).

I'm sorry. My sister lost her girlfriend to suicide last year...it was hard on everyone involved. You can do it, Mommy! Be strong for your little one.

My boyfriend lost his father when he was 17.
He never talked about it much and then after almost a year I realized he wasnt over it.
He wasnt close to his dad so I figured there just wasnt much to talk about after it happened and when I tried to talk to him, he just blew it off.

My point is, talk to someone. It'll really help to just get all your feelings out.
A journal would even help

Oh my, Mama, I have no idea. I've never gone through anything like this! All I can say is try to be strong, don't stress too much (I know that's gonna be hard), as it's not good for the baby.

Wow.....that's a full plate you have. First, let me extend my sympathies. Losing a parent is hard, especially to suicide. Just know that you had nothing to do with his situation. I wish I had advice for you sweetie.......but there aren't really any words that could make you feel better. Hopefully, the upcoming events will allow you to feel some joy, and understand that life is a circle. You're in my thoughts and prayers!!!

i know he just felt like he couldnt give anything to me or my sister anymore, and he felt like a p.o.s, i think he thought that he would be better off killing himself and giving us everything he had, and i wish he wouldnt have, i would have rather just had his love for him to give, i never would have thought this would ever happen.

You and your family are in my prayers... But try to keep a steady mind about having a healthy baby girl my grandpa died and my daughter acts just like him sometimes... just don't EVER think thats it's your fault that he did die... or anything like that... sometimes people begin to blame themselves. If you can't help but think about him.. think about the good times you guys had... write poetry or just write your feelings. Good Luck

Oh I am so sorry for your loss hun. You can do it, be strong for your baby. I lost my dad when I was 7 and I lost my grandmother last night. I is hard to deal with, but the way I see things is this. He is up in heaven now so he can be everywhere with you everyday. He is up there playing with your baby and keeping it safe while waiting for you. Maybe your baby will have an old soul, him.

I'm so sorry to hear that but think about ur little girl try talking to someone you trust it's fine to cry if you feel like crying but don't let stress take over you because your baby senses everything i hope u feel better take care and God bless and gives you the streght you need to cope.
