Tylenol Question

posted 6th Sep
So my son went in for his shots today and is running a fever. The pedi said to give him half the dropper which is .4. I read that at his weight which is 20 pounds he should have more. Does anyone have the right dosage for his age? I think my pedi is crazy i would give him .4 when he was 2 months lol now hes almost 6 months. Also his fevers 100.1 can i give him the tylenol again in 4 hours or do i have to wait the 6? Sorry if this makes no sense im very tired lol

My pedi told me to go by weight and gave me dosage for that. I think that's the .8. I did tylenol every four hours and motrin every six, but not until he was six months old.

my pedi gave me a tylenol and motrin dosing sheet... and he goes by weight

so if hes 20 lbs... tylenol is 1.2ml which is the (.8 + .4) the dropper and a half
every 4 hrs

motrin is 1.875 (a full dropper)
every 6-8 hours

I'll be honest with you, when he was five months I gave him motrin. He was quite sick and puking up tylenol so his pedi gave me the go ahead. I would call and ask my dr before doing it, but motrin is better at bringing down fevers.
