6 months is best. 4 months is the absolute minimum age. Anything before that is irresponsible.

Our pedi gave us the go ahead at 5 months. Actually, we saw him a little before 5 months and he said since Aidan was doing so well on cereal we could go ahead and start veggies but I waited until he was ACTUALLY 5 months just because it's easier for me to keep track of things that way...

one month???
We started to give him the 1st good veggies around I think almost 5 months. Our pediatrician even told us that it is fine to start on veggies but rice is less alergenic. I personally started on rice first to be sure and it's easier to control the consistency.

Our Pedi told us to start rice cereal at 4 months and do that for a week then start introducing stage ones but that just seemed a little too fast for us, so we did rice cereal for a month and today we gave the munchkin peas for the first time and he loved them! He ate the peas a lot better than he does the cereal!

kadence has been on cereal in her bottle since 6 weeks, pedi recommended it for her reflux. so at 4 months he said we could start 1st stage.. green veggies first, then orange/yellow, then fruits. we didn't really start til about last week 4 1/2 months... she's keep doing so well on it. she loves her veggies. we've done green beans, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, and we cheated and did prunes too. she's not so excited about prunes.. but man oh man does she loooooove sweet potatoes!

mmm I know!! we do fruit in Aidan's cereal and it's pretty good too, especially the peaches, but those veggies, to me at least, tastes just like the "normal" ones!! lol

He'll be 6 months in like, a week  We started the fruit in the cereal around 4 1/2 but only a little bit... like one jar of fruit for every 3 bowls. Now he eats his cereal with fruit for breakfast and dinner, a veggie for lunch, bottles each time and for in between feedings, and he has a sippy of 3ozs water 1 oz juice after lunch every day. Helps keep him from getting stopped up, lol...
