Is anyone going throught this too ??

i really need to talk to someone who knows anything about Waardenburg syndrome ...i ran into a lady at walmart and she had the same blonde patch like my son and shes deaf from this syndrom .. should i get my checked for this syndrome ??

My son has 2 patches - he hears fine .
But I have known 2 peoplewith the same patches who were hard of hearing.

Does he have any other signs of the syndrome? and ... has the doctor made any comments about it.?

Does he react to noises ?
Is he babbling etc .

It seems that at his age you would have noticed something wrong by now and your doctor would have mentioned it, I would bring it up at his next doctors appointment to double check but if it hasn't been mentioned I wouldn't stress over it.

i would say if there is any reason to suspect anything, then most definitely get it checked out.

i think his hair is super cool.
he can have 'scene' hair without actually doing anything.  
btw im not sure what 'scene' means.

What does it mean?

I've know two people, seperate towns years apart who have unpigmented patches of hair. Both were nnormal hearing kids.

Oh my gosh.....LOL your baby is so cute with his patch. I don't think it's true but i don't know, i could be wrong. I've known people that have patches and are ok. They say its like a molar, but on your scalp and that's why the hair comes out a diferent color.

well i read some on this syndrom and it said that if your child has a blonde spot there is 50 % chance of lossing his hearing

my dad has a white patch on the back of his head, and hes really bad at hearing
