Bleeding

Hey...Kai only has 2 bottom teeth. He is 10 months old. He is a VERY easy teether....no fevers, no drama....just totally normal when he teeths.

But, his top left gum..like exactly where a tooth would pop....just started bleeding like crazy.
He did cry all of a sudden reallly hard, I jumped up and there was blood all over and in his mouth. Once I got him clean you could see a line where the blood was coming from.

Alls he was doing was laying down drinking a bottle.

This is new for me....
could that be what it was from? I dont feel a tooth there yet.

Poor baby, if there was nothing else that could have caused it i would say tooth.

thats what im thinking. Ive just never heard of teething causing bleeding.


He is perfectly fine now. you could tell it hurt him pretty bad when it happend though  

Hmm thats odd i have never heard of that happening. Maybe that tooth was just trying to come through too fast. I dunno really.

ow! that seems...way intense for just a tooth...are you sure theres no way he possibly scratched himself? ow!

ya know....he could have with his nail I suppose.
They are trimmed though.

But there was nothing in the crib with him. just his bottle...and I already fully inspected that.

Just a thought - sometimes Julia gums the ring of the bottle (the part that screws on). Maybe he was doing that and bit down too hard or something.

Poor baby, I hope he's ok!

yeah, he is good now!

there was alot of blood though. scared me to death!

maybe it was a in growing tooth

awwww poor thing and poor momma!!

Lydia got a little blister on her gums and when I brushed them she started bleeding.  There was a little line where it came from that looked the size of a tooth top.  A couple days later the tooth was up!

Even if he bit down too hard on the ring of his bottle or something, he probably does have a tooth coming up because they don't often bleed from biting things hard unless it irritates gums that are tender from teething!

wow, never heard of this before, kinda scary.
