We're back !

I don't if anyone even noticed . . but I've been gone for a week due to Hurricane Gustav ! We prepared to lose everything . . packed away my life ! BUT , we finally got home today & we were spared ! No levee breaches , no flooding , nothing ! It feels so good to be home . Only thing . . I didn't empty my refrigerator before we left & OH BOY , it was nasty ! But I think I managed to save it w/ some bleach & baking soda .


& Ian has a tooth ! I'll try and get some pictures later , but he doesn't really like to show it to me .

(Now , if only Hurricane Ike leaves us alone!)

what part of louisiana do you live in? I live next to houma and we were also spared THANK GOD!! i am hoping ike doesnt come to b/c i am 37 weeks and i dont think i can handle another evacuation!!

I live in St. Bernard. God , I can only imagine being 9 mths pregnant and evacuating ! I hope it doesn't affect us !

We really prepared ourselves to lose everything . & I am so thankful that I had a home to come to . Now if only that next one can spare us again . .

I'm happy to hear that your house and everything was ok! I live in Lafayette and we were ok too. I stayed at my mom's house in eunice for the hurricane and everything is fine over there too. We got out electricity back Wednesday and at my mom's we had a generator so it wasn't that bad. But I had to reschedule my ultrasound = [ Now it's Tuesday so by then i'll know what i'm having! And Ike really better stay away from us!!!

no way! he's growing up too fast!

I live in Slidell and we stayed. I am so glad everything wasn't as bad as they thought. I am also glad I stayed, I was so scared to leave and go into labor so I would of brought everything. Now I am scared of Hurricane Ike. I would rather be about to give birth than have to leave and evacuate with a newborn. I hate hurricanes.

ASH! im sorry you had to do that. It sucks   i hope ike stays away too!!
