Aw! Thank you. I can't believe how fast they grow... It feels like only a month ago I gave birth.

I love Skylie's name, that's so cute. I doubt its just this thread that's slow. BG has been pretty slow in general lately. I'm glad you and your LO had a good 4th. We just lit small fireworks since the big ones are illegal in Wichita and I didn't feel like figuring out where the fireworks show was. Lol. I'd like to wait until my husband gets home from deployment before we take Jaden to the big firework shows. So maybe next year?

Hey mamas! Just a small vent. My SIL pissed me off a little yesterday morning. She was looking for something on TV for Kat to watch. Well, the only choices that were kid appropriate were Handy Manny on Disney and something on Nickelodeon. My SIL looks at Kat and says, "We DON'T want to watch Handy Manny. He's Mexican."

OMG! I was beyond upset. She's only 15 years old and picks it up from 2 of her brothers and dad!

My SO worked til after the fireworks were over. I watched some with my dad, but went back up to he house we were hangin out at cuz I missed Shauny!

Where's your hubby deployed to? My brother just signed up for the Army last month & my other brother is trying to get into the Marines, but has recurring tumors in his ears that cause some deafness. He's had a few operations to correct it, but when he went for his final physical, he was denied because the tumors grew back. =/

Wow, I'd smack her! But then again, being 15...She knows 'everything', right? I knew it all too..Haha Did you say anything to her?

My grandMIL insists that I have Sky watch Sesame Street & that it taught my MIL how to talk when she was 1, so Skylie HAS to watch it. But as MIL discovered, Sesame Street never even existed until almost 3 years after she was born... We almost never watch TV so Skylie doesn't either. Occasionally I turn Noggin on & watch Pinky Dinky Doo or Little Bill or Ni Hao Kai-Lan (lol, cuz I <3 it!) but otherwise the tv is off.

I just can't grasp how television rules people's lives! My MIL would die without tv, I swear!  

But, don't get me wrong...I do like to watch some shows.

I even have the Yankee game on now!

That's awesome! The closest I've found in age to J is 3 days younger than him. Lol.

Omg! I'm sorry, but I have to crack up at that. LMAO!

My husband is half Mexican and I'm always teasing him. That is really sad for a 15 year old to say. I wish she hadn't picked that up.

Steven's in the Air Force. He's near Saudi Arabia and won't leave until somewhere around August 29th or so.

That stinks about his tumors. I don't think that should keep him from signing up, but that's the military for ya.

Yeah she does. She doesn't always get the concept of when to do it, but she loves to wave. Its so cute.

ASH! I was at the mall with my client today and I just saw that they opened the threading store! I think im going to try it out sometimes soon!
