feeding question

posted 5th Sep
quick question, I formula feed and breastfeed my son... when he gets formula he does great, he doesnt get gassy and he doesnt spit up...

But when he gets breastmilk he gets really gassy, fussy, and he spits up. I have changed my eating habits and everything to try and prevent it. I am starting to think that it is beacuse it is so much thinner, could that be the reason? and if so is there any way to thicken it up?

I want my son to have as much breastmilk as possible cause I know its what is best for him, but I dont want him to have bellyaches....

Yeah it could be an allergy to a food you're eating.

I have heard that before but I dont eat dairy at all... sometimes I will eat a cheese burger but that would equal out to about 1 or 2 pieces of cheese in a week MAYBE.

Anything can, maybe your doctor would be able to better pin point what it is. Mostly I think it's trial and error. Just try stop eating certain food and see if it makes a difference.

I am not sure if its the foods that you are eating.... but with Averi ,she spits up if I don't burp like 5 minutes into her nursing.. I nurse for 5 minutes and then burp then do the other side.... since I have done that she has stopped spitting up so much unless my boobs are really FULL !
