OFFICIAL! (AND induction question)

as of 30 mins ago, it is my "OFFICIAL" due date today! =) YAY! this time next week I should be a mommy, and FINALLY get to meet my little girl! It seems like forever ago that i found out i was pregnant, and now I'm about ready to have her! =) YAY! ...
I HAVE A QUESTION!
My Dr. said he would check me Monday (my next appt.) to see if anything has happened yet (as of Tuesday i still had no dialation or effacement!) so, he said if i have any dialation he will induce by "pitocin"(sp?) and if still nothing as of Monday, he will induce some other way (he was not clear on what this way was called, so idk.) but he said pitocin will only be a 1 day induction thing, but the other way will be an overnight induction...? i'm confused on if he meant he will "SCHEDUAL" these for another day, or if he meant he will start on Monday... if anyone has been in the same situation, what happened to you!? and is it even possible he will induce the day of my apt.!? ...
