Ridge on Baby's head

Have any of you ladies noticed any type of ridge running up and down on the forhead of your babies?
I’m a bit concerned about my daughter. She’s 8 months old and in the last week or so I’ve notice a ridge forming that extends from the top of her nose and half way across her scalp. It's not that noticable to others, but of course me it is.

Um...nope, I'd bring it up with the pedi.

My nephew had something similar, but it may have been worse. He had to have surgery to correct it, it was actually the plates of his skull converging together, but Im sure your doctor would have said something about it by now if he thought it was a problem.

i know what your talking about and anthony doesnt have it, but i have seen quite a few who do have it.
i really believe thats normal.

That’s what I’m afraid of…her plates fusing too early. I would have thought her doctor would have said something too, but it’s only been in the last week noticeable to me. The measurements of her head have always been normal. I’m not sure if all the sudden something could go wrong, like her scalp plates fusing prematurely after eight months. She has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. I really hope I’m being paranoid!

i really wouldnt worry about it. ive seen that on so many babies. especially from certain angles, you can see it more. anthony KIND OF has it like that.

anthonys Mom ~ It sounds like we're talking about the same thing. I can see it better from a frontal side view but not just from the side nor just from the front.

On your son...do you feel a ridge on his forehead? How old is he?

i cant feel anything.
i noticed it more when he was younger (hes 5 months now)
i think it normally goes away, but like ive said, ive seen babies with it before.

He had the surgery when he was about 10 months old, he's almost 6 now... He has a scar all the way across the top of his head, Ill find a pic...

nevermind I dont have any that I can find that show it, but its a zig-zag from one ear, over the top of his head, to the other ear.
