You should make sure with your doctor.. I know you can be on them but I'm not sure which ones .. there may be one that is safer for the baby... make sure you talk to your doc before you take anything like that..

I think as long as they are not a NSAID!? My sis was on them when she was preg. and it cause a MAJOR heart defect on my nephew, before she even knew she was pregnant, it was to late! I would NOT take the chance!!!! JMO

Ummm ok! and why the hell not?!!!???Alot of people need them to function properly...what are we supposed to do all end up in mental facilities because 'we shouldn't be taking antidepressants'

to the OP... I was on anti depressants when I fell pregnant and my doctor cut my dose down to half then took me off them completely within a month... They say that if the risk to the mother GREATLY outweighs the risk to the baby then they will either keep you on them/ put you on them... Its not a good idea to be on them while preg...some of them can cause some pretty bad birth defects... Go to your dr. and tell them whats going on and how you are feeling... Some councelling may help too...

Because there are natural ways to FIX and work onthese types of low grade mental problemsinstead of surpressing them with drugs.

I am sorry your wrapped up around what the FDA has made you believe but there are many ways to deal with depression, anxiety and other slight mental disorders without drugging yourself up with man made chemicals.

GET OFF YOUR HIGH FUCKING HORSE!!!! YOU ARE NO ONE SPECIAL!!! You dont know a thing about me and my 'slight mental disorder' as you called it. You try dealing with having to bury a child and then tell me how fucking easy it is to deal with depression.

So you don't take pain killers when you have a headache...no painkillers during child birth....? Since you are so against drugging yourself with man made chemicals Im sure you would never put anything into your system apart from organic products.

Listen lady I am just saying there are healthier, more effective natural ways to deal with these things. No shit I dont know you, I have never even seen you on this site before.Depression and Severe Anxiety are both classified as disorders. They are physch disorders which translates to mental. I said that there are natural ways that work better than the man made chemicals at helping with things like depression, anxiety and other low grade mental disorders. I was just listing a couple. Please quote me where I said depression is easy to deal with because I did not even insinuate that in my posts.

I have no idea what losing a kid feels like but since I have a daughter I know it is a lot worst then any horrable thing that has ever happend to me but please I am not dissing you or being a evil cunt monkey. Just saying there are other options that produce much better results.

And if it matters, no I dont take medcine for headaches, sickness, my labor and birth was competly drug free because I study and read up on holistic medicine and being in control of my mind and energies

Really, really... I'm sure there are a few other methods that may "help" but when your crouching on the floor of your bathroom ready to give up on life because your mind is basically leading you to believe that there's NOTHING worth living for, when you've had to BakerAct BOTH of your parents for trying to commit suicide, a nice herbal supplement might as well be a handful of m&m's

Why even bring that up?? Did she ask if she should be "taking them at all"? uggh and to nip it in the bud don't spout the "this is a public forum" crap because this is also an adult forum and adults have tact... to sum up that comment was unnecessary and actually kind of disrespectful for those who need to be on psychiatric drugs to properly function.

OP, There are some safe to take, like Zoloft. Prozac was one they took me off of during my pregnancy however I was prescribed Xanax for anxiety.
