people in the Uk tend not too...

No one would host one for us when we went to see family and friends last month, because in my mother-in laws words "We Americans only have one."
Yeah she fricking hosted my first baby shower at 11 weeks after I had a threatened misscarrige and didn't know what I was having.
We're stationed in Texas and don't have family or friends to host one   And I wanted one to do a blue theme and actually recieve gender percific items instead of gift cards and gender netural stuff.

But when I go back to the Uk to show my babies of next year we're having a big party so my mum said I could go all out with decorations, since I haven't been back to the UK since I moved her december 06 due to being pregnant for almost two years straight lol. So my parents want to show of their grandkids I say why not.

Mines is September 27th!! I can't wait and get over with it already!!

Im not having a baby shower.
Apparently, you cant have a shower when it isnt your first kid.

I'm having one Oct. 4 and one Oct. 18th... the Oct. 4 is planned by my sisters and friend and the theme is "Safari" because that will be the nursery theme for our little man! Generally, we have a theme party every year in May and since this year we didn't host one, this is going to be our theme. It's going to be VERY nontraditional. Guys and Gals and more like a party hangout than a baby shower. We haven't decided on favors yet! But we are having a full meal! Roast beef, mashed, corn... Mmmmm....I'm so excited to have everyone over!

I had mine August 16th. I didn't have a theme until I sent out my invitations. They had the little noahs ark animals all over them so I stuck with that. I had the table cloth, the wall decorations, napkins, plates, cups, it was too cute! We had prizes for our games and my sister-in-law drew animals on the bags and we filled it with 88 cent candy from wal-mart, a chapstick and a little thing of lotion. We made small snacky foods and little treats here and there. I loved it! Too bad you only get one huh.  

October 4th and my theme is safari to match Taisen's room

maybe you should start a trend. its so helpful when you get stuff from friends and family. there are ways to over do it but i imagine you wouldn't.

I guess its rude to have a shower after your first child because then its just greedy. But I dont think thats really fair because the best part of the shower is the fact that its a party. And its only for women!
I mean.. don't women who get remarried have another bridal shower?

Mine is next Saturday September 13th I can't wait! My boyfriends cousin (who I'm friends with) is throwing me a shower.

i know right?! i have never heard of this rule though. I guess me being from Texas we are just giving and love get togethers.lol I would ask why is it that you couldnt have another one. Is there a lot of time between the kids? my youngest is 6 about to be 7 is why they are throwing me one. Hell just throw a fit till you get one. lol j/k
