A second thought on sores

Well to you who talked to me the other day you know that I went to the ER to get tested for herpes. When the doc just took a look he said that was it. I still have to get my test back but he gave me meds and all of the for them. They hurt like hell! I was wondering if there was anyone one here who knew anythng about them that could help take the pain away.

Is this your first outbreak, I think you get them shortly after being exposed to them. But then again you could have been a carrier. From Valtrex commercials you can have herpes and still spread them even without an outbreak.
Stress can bring them on, for the pain,if they are vaginal, have fun peeing because itstings like hell! I don't know what will keep the pain away, maybe keeping the area as dry as possible.

And I'm sorry to hear about this...do you think your soon to be ex knows he has it??! This is definitely some news to pass along to him I think...

I guess this also means you'll have to have a c-section so the baby doesn't get it.

Yeah the health department will have to get a hold of him.

I have called him and told hom everything. We have to find out about him getting tested thought. The pills they gave me has helped so much its amazing. Everything is almost healed up so thats good. About the C Section, I dont know if I will have to have one or not cause if there is no sign of it when I have the baby I will not have to have one. I still even have to get the test back to conferm that is what is was. You can also only get it once if you catch it soon enough.

Yes about the c section-if you don't have any outbreaks you can still have the baby vaginally. But as for catching it early enough-you may only ever have that one outbreak (I only had one little lesion-and that was over four years ago) but I still have it, there is no cure. I can still pass the virus on. You just have to use precautions with this relationship or future ones. I am sorry you even have to deal with this crap.

There are these new meds I will have to look and see what they are called but you can take them and get tested for it once a month. If it does not show up again then they say its gone. It has not workedfor everyone but some it has. This is the first outbreak I have ever had its a bad one but still the first.
