re: breast feeding

ok if you pump and make bottles ahead of time this is how it works i have a breastfeedin book that i got from my breastfeedin class that i go to it is offered by the WIC office. The name of the book is breastfeeding keep it simple

ok now the book says storage time vary " to be safe store your milk in a cool room for up to 5 hours , in a refrigerator for up to 5 days, in the freezer section of a refrigerator/freezer for up to 5 months, or in an upright or chest freezer for up to 5 months to 1 year. Store your thawed milk in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours. Any milk left in the feeding container (bottle,cup) should be used within 1 hour."

The best way to keep track of when you pumped the breastmilk i have purchased breastmilk storage bags it have a place where you can write the date that you pumped the milk and the amount of milk that was placed in the storage bag.

Let me be the one to tell you that its good to ask questions because if you dont then you will never know the correct way to do things so trust no question is a dumb question to me when it concerns breastfeedin

aw thank you, i was going to do formula, but i would at lest like to try breast feeding plus its alot cheaper and helps you lose weight so i've herd.

well the losing weight part is so true before i got pregnant i was 120 and when i was pregnant i was almost 150 and now that i done had the baby and im breastfeeding im back at 120 believe it or not and thats just from breastfeeding and my son is only a month old well 5 weeks.
