Breast feeding troubles.

posted 30th Aug
Ive been breastfeeding my baby since he was born, but after we got out of the hospital he wouldnt take the breast so ive been pumping for the past 2 and a half weeks.

i havea problem. i produce milk, but i wanted to get extra so whenever someone watches him on the weekends he wouldnt have to use formula. at first i was producing PLENTY of milk, and i know you have to pump more to get more but it just isnt working for me.. now it seems like i produce only enough and barely enough, and i always hear about people who have lots of extra milk stored. it has become a hard to just have 2 extra bottles in the fridge for me. is there anything i can take that actually works to help me lactate more? i dont wannna do formula, thats my last result. and ive been pumping about 5-7 times a day and hardly get anything still. at first i had a LOT and got a lot when i pumped. now it isnt like that at all.

Get some Fenugreek from GNC or a vitamin store. It helps produce more milk. Take 2 capsules 3 times a day and plenty of water. Hope this helps.

uh,i leave my baby with my mom on friday night so i can spend a couple of hours with my fiance, and get my sleep back straight so i dont go crazy through the week and because my mom wants to see the baby.i dont leave him there all weekend, he doesnt even stay 12 hours. i dont think there is anything wrong with it.

Fenugreek andmothers milk tea work for most people. Pump up to 12 times a day if you need to. Even if you get nothing out you're still stimulating your body to produce more. If you get desperate you can get a doctor to perscribe you Reglan. One of the side effects of it is increased lactation.

Good luck and remember...pump as much as you can!!
