Zoloft Anyone?

Owen had a doctor's appointment a couple days ago (we have the same doctor's office), and I got her to prescribe me something for PPD (there are a few previous posts from me explaining why I thought I had PPD if you care to read). Well, she prescribed me Zoloft. Anyone on it? Anyone have stories/opinions about it? Good or bad, I wanna hear it all.

Yes, I was on it for 45 days and it helped me greatly!

Good to know! And when you got off it did you feel any different? For how long?

I was on it and it made me crazy. No joke, I needed it for anxiety and it made me walk around like a zombie, it sucked. I switched to Lexapro, I liked that... now I don't need anything. But yeah Zoloft was a BAD experience for me.

I was on that a while ago.
It didn't work for me.
The first day I took them, it made me extremely happy, couldn't stop laughing, and talking.
Then, it made me mean, and suicidal-ish, and even more depressed.

It could be because I was so young, or something, I don't know.
It affects everyone differently.
But I will never touch that stuff again.
It made me feel like someone else!

I was on Lexapro and I hated it... made me miserable.

Nope. I felt fine.
I had really bad baby blues.
I was super overwhelmed and just cried and was exhausted. My doctor put me on Zoloft and the only side effect I had was a headache, but nothing tylenol couldnt take away.

I just told myself while on Zoloft it isnt an instant fix, it takes a week or two to get into your system. Just take deep breaths, take walks with your baby, and make sure to establish a routine with your little one.

Ugh, that's what I'm afraid of!

I was prescribed Zoloft for anxiety and depression, not PPD. I had some pretty lame side effects but it could be because of my age. Anyway, I had better luck with Prozac.

my sisters on it- it worked temporarily butnow she thinks she needs a higher dose. But my gramma takes it and it helps- its one of the easier ones on people

It had to be something else..
There is NO way that one days dose could make you instantly happy.
Lets be realistic here.

Thank you. Every time I see you posting something it's always so positive and you seem really nice! ((You are PT'd by my best friend (Brad's Momma) and you are just always... pleasant. More than I can say about some of the girls on here!))

yeah i felt like a zombie...... no good

i just got a PS for it but someone told me that it makes you gain weight and that is why i'm depressed in the first place so why would i take it?! im depressed about my PP body, not being a mom.

did anyone gain weight from it?
